How to use Socratube

Socratube has a number of useful features, and more are on the way.

Note Entry

To take notes, type them in the entry box and hit ENTER twice. They get sent to either My Notes or the Public wiki. By default, the notes go to whichever tab you're looking at. Notes are saved as soon as you double-tap Enter.

My Notes

This is your private note section, which no one else can see. Take notes from the video, download them as a Word doc (by clicking the downward arrow at the top-right of the note box), or skip around the video as much as you like. Every note is time-stamped from when you first started typing, just click on the time-stamp to jump to that point.

To edit or delete a note, click on the note and a menu will appear, from which you can choose the action you want.

Public Wiki

The Public Wiki is a space where everyone can add notes, comments and extra material. Feel free to add a link to an article mentioned by the lecturer, or a Wikipedia definition of some terminology. Note that to open a link in Socratube, you need to right-click it.

You can also ask questions in the Public Wiki, which either the lecturer or other students can answer. Just click the Question Mark button and type your query. Questions are anonymous, so ask away.
